Randy had somehow lost his password to the site and tried to contact me and I have to resend him the invite to run the site. Please try to understand we are trying to keep up but I have had way too much to get caught up on here at BNA. I just want to thank The guys Dick Matta and Paul Winters for holding down the fort and getting this place in what kind of order they can. We need some items to make sure we don't fail in doing our jobs so we can only request what we need and hope they come through. Very tough to launch aircraft 5 min apart when you only have 3 stairs for 4 aircraft. I am so lucky to have the nicest and friendliest gate partners who had my back when I went through what I can only describe as boot camp but getting back up to speed they had no choice. I'm Sending Randy his new Logan so please be patient. Thanks Tom Perusi

Kudos on getting us our intl Jumpseat back! Credit goes to you, Randy and the other committeemen for driving this change through this site and your other efforts. It's time for others to jump on board now - we still have one of the worst health plans in the industry and a complete joke of a pension. Right now the amts at UPS are negotiating to secure their heath benefits for the next four years and further enhance their already stellar pension benefits.
It's time we now go after the two big ticket items - health care and pension. This can only be accomplished once we have a seat at the table.
I think we all know what kind of health care benefits and pension our pilots will have once they reach a deal next year.

siJust spoke with a mechanic who was jump seating back to OAK. He had no clue of our movement, but he was all for it. Apparently the word is not being spread, please talk to your fellow AMT's ! Things are not going to get any better history has proved that!
Yep - all of us must do a better job promoting this outside of this blog. I suspect lots of guys would be all over this if they knew about it.
Come on guys! Freight is fighting and winning right now in the northeast with two big election wins and more to follow this month and next. They are fighting for better health care and pensions. They have had it.
At the same time, our very own pilots are heading back into negotiations to lock up a deal that will no doubt keep them at the very top of the heap in terms of pay, health benefits and pension. Far superior to the shit we now have today.
Let's stop stepping on our cranks and get something done. We can do better than this.

Just an FYI, for those of you that are considering retirement prior to the age of Medicare eligibility dodging having to pay for you and your wife's healthcare from our "People First Company"! A buddy just informed me that his premiums for 2015 will cost him $1276/month!! Let that sink in for a little while before deciding your next move regarding the direction of where our medical benefits are headed in the coming years.......with no seat at the discussion table!!
