This explains a lot! Thanks posting.
My card is going in the mail tomorrow ...... this is outrageous. I know a lot of us who are pissed off about the plan change but did not realize the extent of the change or that other guys have it so much better. The company's brochures are very misleading!!!!
My neighbor is a FedEx pilot and he said they still have their platinum plan. He said we basically just have a catastrophic plan that has been dressed up with a paltry little savings account. Enough already.
It's official, we now have some of the worst health care benefits of any carrier in the country.
Randy,
Let's not forget that this fight extends into our retirement and from what I remember UPS retirees pay $100/mn for the medical coverage with FedEx having to dish out $1080/mn for a couple that happens to be below Medicare eligibility!!
I remember listening to a pilot speak in Memphis many years ago at the beginning of this quest and him explaining how, once you retire, the company DOES NOT recognize you as an employee in retirement, making it difficult to obtain information regarding medical or retirement issues.
MORE disrespect even after dedicating yourself to this company for 25 or more years!!
I am willing to bet UPS retirees don't have to put up with that BULLSHIT!!
EVERY AMT needs to see this information!!
Informative post Randy.
Chris
Great work with this Sherwood. Passed this comparison out to a few guys today on my line.
I second the earlier poster's comment - this document must absolutely get into the hands of EVERY Amt.
Yours in the bound.
This needs to be distributed - too important
The company's shills lied to me!
Let's get this done.
Thanks Randy- very informative.
Tom, Randy
How are we doing?
