Another benefit lost I and most of you probably never knew

UNITED WE BARGAIN DIVIDED WE BEG

I  recieved a letter from FedEx today stating that my son who is still in college will turn 23 in August. The day after his 23rd birthday he will not longer have dental benefits through our insurance. I was to believe that the law changed and that as long as your child is still going to school that they would be covered until his 26th birthday. This say's nothing about medical only dental. I felt it was very important for all of you to know that you can add that to the heap of benefits we lost.

never comes out the way I want like right side up

If we had the dental insurance UPS AMTs enjoy, your son would be covered through age 25 and would enjoy the rich dental plan below. Yep, just another example of the takeaways. Thanks, FedEx, for the piece of shit plan.

Summary of UPS AMT Dental Plan:

The Out‐of‐Pocket Expense Limit does not apply.

Annual Dental Deductible - None

Annual Dental Maximum Preventive Services - None

Diagnostic and Restorative Crown and Bridgework at 100%

Dentures (Full and Partial) at 80%

Orthodontic (Child/Adult Child) at 80%

No Lifetime Maximum

Our new health plan sucks. Specialist visits that used to be covered under our old plan last year are no longer fully covered. Out $6000 bucks this year already!

Our Pilots don't have this problem. Anyone who uses our health plan just received a big pay cut this year. Don't let these bastards fool you with all their fancy health accounts. Shit is shit.

Bottom line- we all have taken it in the ass this year. Those who have not used the plan much are in for a nice surprise.

Nice to see the company cares about aging folks like me who see a chiropractor and physical therapist regularly.Hope everyone keeps their doctor's visits to a minimum.

Screw you FedEx.

I've heard talk regarding our max out of pocket possibly doubling yet again for next year....?

Don't be shocked if you see the medical go to 75/25 either!

These corporate America induced wounds being inflicted upon the working class will only get worse unless you get it in writing and force them to abide by what they have promised.....like our pilots have!!!

Yep. They are reducing our benefits again this year - not surprising as this is how these plans work.

My neighbor is a pilot and he tells me their union has fought hard against these cut rate plans and have been able to keep their traditional plans.

I am already down just over $5400 so far this year - that's $5400 the company would have covered last year!

Biggest take away since the pension fleecing.

I'm wondering if the majority of guys in MEM & IND are waiting to sign a card until the company has taken every last benefit??? Then within a few more years when we inquire about how much our medical coverage will cost..........they'll say....well, how much did you make last year? Yep....that's how much it will be!!!

If we want to get this done we need a bunch of us to go beyond just this web blog. Boots on the ground needed.

Now is the time to band together guys. Strength in numbers is the key here. We have no power if we are divided. If just half of us can band together, we will all see tremendous benefits in doing so.

Long time, trusted manager told me over the weekend that Tech Ops is under a ton of pressure to reduce costs per the Express $1.7 billion cost reduction. As many of us have feared, all kinds of measures are being looked at right now to save money and drastically change the way we do business. I will not rumor monger here, but rest assured, we need to come together like never before or we all are going to lose even more than we have already. This is real guys.

Yes it's time to stand together. So let's act as adults on this board.

We'll see how this works out.
