First quarter profits $606,000,000.00. Yea folks 606M and yet we pay high insurance premiums and are among the highest deductibles and copays with the least comprehensive insurance in our industry!!

Sign a card and let's get some protection.

It's no longer about taking even half ass decent care of it's employees any more. It's only about showing how to rack up the biggest pile of profit by changing the rules to minimize or even eliminate their financial risk through reducing benefits offered!

Then accomplish that while making us believe we should just be appreciative to have a job and expect us to bow at the feet of Fred.......?

It is difficult to do after he has allowed the rest of his executive management "team" to destroy PSP, when that was the very foundation principle he started Federal Express on!!

New day, new era, totally different rules than in the beginning, changed to make it impossible to win without protection now in a written contract.......just as the pilots learned long ago!

I sure hope that eyes of enough people have been opened and educated to signing a card.....within another 10 days!

Just remember guys, if you think things will get better before they get much worse......someone has already slipped you the koolaid and every last drop was consumed!

If it's in writing, they can't simply change it.....without consulting you and me!!!

What's the card count status? Where can we be of more help?

We are now seeing cards come in to the P.O box every Friday he goes to check on it. I will say how many cards we have on Oct 1st or around there. I went to avionics line and have some real good help there and they said they will hit the line shacks and make sure they all know about it so there can be no excuse. Remember some stations are still collecting and holding on to them to send in so it would not be a correct count if I even came up with a number now. Randy is doing all the collecting of cards. I accepted the Nashville job and only have 30 days to show up to work so I will be pretty busy but he will continue to keep this site open and post information. It's bad timing on my part to have to move but you know with how the job openings here, you never know when one comes up you want and never know if you will get it(only if your way up in Seniority)

Congrats Tom on getting BNA (Nashville)! That's going to be a great change with a great bunch of guys and you will have a blast with field line mx life! Totally different world than Memphis.

thanks for that, I was told the exact same thing by a great friend of mine who I use to work with and is over a few line shops. I look forward to working with the other guys who took the job. I have heard nothing but good things about all of them and that we should have a great team of talent for the job. Am I nervous? damn right haven't been on the line in 4 1/2 years but I am excited to get to work on the jets once again.
my wife and I both noticed that we can actually breath better up there and did not have to take our allergy meds. That alone is a bonus.

Please do not stop your efforts after October 1st or when you are in Nashville!

Picking up lots of positive chatter in MEM and IND. LAX and EWR are going to get even stronger.

Folks have awakened to the need for a contract at Freight with 9 elections planned starting Oct 10. Express employees and the media are watching what is developing into a large dumpster fire with many issues we are dealing with here - most importantly health care. Between that train wreck and the pilots likely keeping all their perks when the contract closes - more guys are going to realize the need for what we are doing here!

Congrats on the transfer- well deserved.
